Notes:

Beginning ch 1 doesn’t count as first stitch

Beginning ch 2 doesn’t count as first stitch

You can easily adjust the size by making a bigger/smaller chain at the beginning. Make sure that the beginning chain is multiple of 4 + 3.

Ch 131

(WS) R1: dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 1, sk 1 ch, *bobble st in next ch, sk 1, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, turn

(RS) R2: ch 2, dc in same st, *dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next bobble st from row below, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next dc from row below*, repeat from * to * till there are 4 sts left, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around last bobble st from row below, dc in last ch-sp, dc in last st, turn

(WS) R3: ch 2, dc in same st, ch 1, sk 1 ch, *bobble st in next ch, sk 1, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, turn

Repeat R2-3 six more times or until you reach the desired length measured from the armpit to the place you want the bottom of your top to sit.

Don't cut yarn off, now you'll be splitting the body garment into three pieces - two front and one back panels. Place a st marker in the 27th stitch and in the 94th stitch counting from the hook.

First Front panel:

(RS) R1: ch 2, dc in same st, *dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next bobble st from row below, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next dc from row below*, repeat from * to * till you reach the stitch marker, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around last bobble st from row below, dc in next ch-sp, dc in next st, turn there

(WS) R2: ch 2, dc in same st, ch 1, sk 1 ch, *bobble st in next ch, sk 1, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, turn

(RS) R3: ch 2, dc in same st, *dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next bobble st from row below, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next dc from row below*, repeat from * to * till there are 4 sts left, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around last bobble st from row below, dc in last ch-sp, dc in last st, turn

Repeat R2-3 three more times. Cut yarn off leaving a long tail for sewing. Attach yarn to the stitch after the first stitch marker and repeat the same steps for the back panel.

Second front panel:

Attach yarn to the stitch next to the second stitch marker.

(RS) R1: ch 2, dc in same st, *dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next bobble st from row below, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next dc from row below*, repeat from * to * till there are 4 sts left, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around last bobble st from row below, dc in last ch-sp, dc in last st, turn

(WS) R2: ch 2, dc in same st, ch 1, sk 1 ch, *bobble st in next ch, sk 1, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, turn

Repeat R1-2 three more times, then repeat R1 once more.

Sew (or join via sl.st) the front panels to the back panel.

Sleeves:

With the right side of the top facing up, attach yarn to the bottom stitch at the armhole.

(RS) R1: Ch 2, dc in same and in each st across the armhole, the number of stitches at the end of the row should be multiple of 4, sl.st into first dc, turn. For the sample size I made 44 dc.

(WS) R2: ch 2, dc in same st, ch 1, sk 1 ch, *bobble st in next st, sk 1, dc in next st*, repeat from * to * till there's three sts left, ch 1, sk 1, bobble st in next st, ch 1, sl.st into first dc, turn

(RS) R3: ch 2, *dc in ch-sp, bpdc around next bobble st from row below, dc in next ch-sp, bpdc around next dc from row below*, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, sl.st into first dc, turn

Repeat R2-3 until you reach the desired sleeve length.

Last row: ch 1, sc in each st, FO

Repeat the same steps for the other sleeve.

Straps:

Attach yarn to the dc post at the bottom of one of the front corners.

R1: ch 1, 3 sc in same space, turn

R2: ch 1, sc in each st, turn

Repeat R2 till the strap measures ~ 36 inches (90 cm).

Repeat the same steps for the second strap.

Edging:

Attach yarn to any stitch at the back of the top, ch 1 and place a sc in each st across the whole top including the straps. Keep in mind that when working on the vertical side of the top every dc counts as two stitches and when working alongside the straps every sc counts as one st.

Cut yarn off and weave in the ends.
